Fall book sale by FOLL: Support Lynnfield Library, find great reads!

September 23, 2025 by For The Weekly News

The Friends of the Lynnfield Library (FOLL) is asking community members to join its Fall Book Sale Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Meeting House.

Friends’ members only presale is Friday, Oct. 3 from 5-7 p.m.  Not a member, but don’t want to miss the presale? No worries, you can sign up at the door!

Only books in excellent condition are sold with thousands to pick from. This is a great opportunity to add to your home library or book collection at prices you can’t get off Amazon. Books are only $1-3. Cash, Venmo, checks, and PayPal are accepted.

FOLL is excited to announce new community partners for the upcoming book sale. The Historical Society will host a bake sale, with proceeds benefiting FOLL. Local author Dr. Ruth Grube will read from her debut book “Who Am I When No One’s Around?” at 10 a.m. and sell signed copies. Grube is a lifelong educator, bringing both wisdom and warmth to everything she creates. FOLL is honored to partner with her at the Fall Book Sale. At 12 p.m., enjoy a community performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by Lynnfield residents.

The Friends’ Book Sale is its biggest fundraiser, providing significant support for our library and our community. Have you ever used a library museum pass? These discounted passes are thanks to the FOLL.

This year, all library programming will be funded by FOLL. This includes the wildly popular, weekly, virtual yoga class, Bill Sano lectures, adult workshops, kid and teen activities, as well as the summer reading program, its kickoff, and end of challenge prizes.

Join the FOLL at the Meeting House to continue providing the community with quality programming while supporting affordable literacy. Visit FOLL.org or FOLL’s FaceBook event page for updated event information.
