The Friends of Lynnfield Library (FOLL) is gearing up for another year of events as the summer winds down, and it is asking community members to attend FOLL’s first meeting of the 2025-26 year on Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. on the Mezzanine at the Lynnfield Public Library.
At the meeting, according to FOLL President Jeana Tecci, “we will be planning our calendar year, our upcoming Fall Book Sale (Oct. 3 and Oct. 4), FOLL socials and more.”
She added that “volunteers and new members are always welcome, and the group is actively seeking individuals interested in assisting with community events, grant writing and book sorting.”
For community members unable to attend who still want to help out, check out FOLL.org or FOLL’s Facebook page for day-of help needed at book sales or at the other various community events FOLL participates in.
Tecci added that FOLL is currently accepting book donations until Sept. 25 – or until storage space runs out. Donations can be dropped off during library hours at the Lynnfield Public Library on the red cart next to the circulation desk.
Tecci asks community members to ensure their donations do not have water damage, ripped or missing pages, mold, stains or debris. FOLL cannot accept encyclopedias, dictionaries, textbooks, magazines, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, games or damaged books.
FOLL is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Lynnfield Public Library through fundraising, volunteer efforts and advocacy. Proceeds from FOLL help fund a wide range of programs and services, including:
- All library programming and events
- The museum pass discount program
