My friend, long-time Lynnfield resident, and fellow Navy veteran, John Harrigan passed away on July 3rd. He was 81. Jack served in the Navy and Merchant Marines during the Vietnam War, and was a very active member of the Lynnfield Veteran Community. He never let our town down. Every Veterans Day and Memorial Day he was always right there, participating, and looking for any way to help. I could always count on him. He was the Vice-Commander and Membership Coordinator for Lynnfield’s American Legion Post 131. Jack was also a very enthusiastic and dedicated member of our War Memorial Committee. Jack was a good man; very proud of his service to his country, and to the Town of Lynnfield. On behalf of our entire veteran community, as well as the town of Lynnfield, Rest in Peace my friend, and thank you for your service. We will all miss you.
Fair winds and following seas. We have the watch.
