Lynnfield honors the fallen

May 28, 2024 by Richelle Melad

Despite less than ideal weather conditions, residents and youth organizations still marched in the Memorial Day parade led by Veterans’ Services Officer Bruce Siegel. Among those who participated in marching to the town’s cemeteries where fallen veterans are buried include the Lynnfield High School band, members of the Lynnfield-Zetland Lodge, and several Boy and Girl Scout troops.

John Griffin, who has lived in Lynnfield for 42 years, attends the parade every year “just out of respect.” Griffin said that his generation saw through the Vietnam War, and that he had friends who served who did not come back.
