New turf at Lynnfield Field expected to be ready by Aug. 1

Workers have been on site laying the groundwork for upgrades to the field since the end of the school year. Softball squad lights up Newburyport

Lynnfield’s offense and defense were clicking Monday evening as the Pioneers' softball team dominated Newburyport in a 19-2 final. Falling to Pentucket at home

The Lynnfield softball team lost to a talented Pentucket side, 10-1, Monday. Despite the loss, there were positives to take away, according to Lynnfield Coach Hector Longo. “Pentucket is undefeated and the best team in the (Cape Ann) league,” he said.
