The Lynnfield Historical Society held its fourth semiannual bake sale on Saturday, Oct. 19, to benefit the Lynnfield Library. A variety of cookies and other baked goods were sold, and attendees enjoyed friendly conversation. All items were donated by members and friends, with proceeds supporting the library.
The Society also celebrated its 70th anniversary, marking its founding in 1954. To commemorate the milestone, the Society honored some of Lynnfield’s most prominent people, places, and landmarks. Seventy creatively crafted signs were displayed on the common, each recognizing a piece of Lynnfield’s history.
Attendees participated in a scavenger hunt, answering questions based on information from the signs. Three lucky winners walked away with prizes.
