A Healthy Lynnfield, a community partnership dedicated to preventing substance misuse and supporting those affected, along with The Wakefield Area Chamber of Commerce, are once again hosting the Healthy Living Expo. This free event, open to all community members, will be held for the third consecutive year on Saturday, May 18, from noon to 4 p.m. at Lynnfield Town Common. In case of inclement weather, the event will relocate to Lynnfield Middle School.
Attendees can explore over 40 health, wellness, and lifestyle vendors offering onsite screenings and information. Additionally, there is a lineup of activities scheduled:
- 12 p.m.: Zumba
- 12:15 p.m.: Awesome Robb the Magician
- 1 p.m.: Senior Pom Pom Team
- 1:15 p.m.: Family Music by Steve Blunt
- 1:45 p.m.: Fitness with The Vault
- 2 p.m.: Cervizzi Martial Arts
- 2:15 p.m.: Yoga
- 2:30 p.m.: Family Music by Steve Blunt
Highlights include a Rike Rodeo from 1 to 3 p.m., sponsored by Safe Routes to School, aimed at teaching children bike safety. Participants must bring their own bike and helmet. Attendees can also enjoy food from the Chicken and the Pig food truck and browse items from a mini farmers market offering honey, seedlings, empanadas, tea, and more.
“Our first two Healthy Living Expos were very popular, and we received multiple requests from community members to do it again,” said Peg Sallade, Substance Use Prevention Coordinator for A Healthy Lynnfield. “We look forward to co-hosting it again this year.”
