The Pioneers let one get away at home on April 9 to fall to 1-1. They were cruising with a 5-2 lead going into the sixth inning, but a throwing error that led to four unearned runs was the difference. Ten men left on base didn’t help the Pioneers’ cause. Tyer Adamo (run, walk), Nick Groussis (double, stolen base) and Madux Iovinelli (triple, 2 runs, 2 stolen bases) led the offense with two hits each. Owen Mullin also had a base hit.
