Joe Gallagher has officially entered the race to run for Lynnfield Select Board. (Joe Gallagher)

LTTE: Vote Joe Gallagher for Select Board

January 13, 2026 by To the editor

To the editor,

My name is Joe Gallagher, and I’m running for a seat on the Lynnfield Select Board.

I’m running to be more involved with the strategic planning for the future of the town, to provide greater visibility to residents about any upcoming major decision points, and to respectfully collaborate with Lynnfield residents and the many other volunteer boards in town to improve and strengthen our community.

Having been a former member of the Lynnfield Finance Committee and current member of the Board of Library Trustees, I have a good working knowledge of the town process for decision-making and managing finances. I’ve seen how Lynnfield’s many volunteers selflessly contribute personal time, skill, and effort for the benefit of fellow residents, and how a lack of collaboration, communication, and transparency can cause division and make residents feel like their needs aren’t being heard or addressed. Lynnfield is my family’s home, and I enjoy working with other Lynnfield residents to collectively benefit our community.

For those who don’t know me personally — I’m a stay-at-home dad with 3 daughters in the Lynnfield Public Schools. In the Lynnfield community I’ve volunteered many hours as Director of Communications for the Summer Street School PTO, a founding member of the Friends of Lynnfield Theater, and Treasurer of the Lynnfield Art Guild, among other local initiatives. My relevant professional experience includes leading the project management department at a digital agency, where I was responsible for numerous client relationships while overseeing a team and handling multiple concurrent projects of varying size and complexity.

If you’d like more information or would like to get in touch, please visit my campaign web site at: www.joeforlynnfield.com

Thank you for reading. I respectfully ask for your vote at the Lynnfield Annual Town Election on Tuesday, April 14!
