This year marks the 250th anniversary of the beginning of the American Revolution. Lynnfield’s 250th Anniversary logo reflects the Town’s history of participation in the patriotic fight for independence.
The center of the logo contains the town mascot, the Minuteman, in blue and gold the official colors of the Lynnfield Pioneers. Three gold stars are set in the brim of his had to honor three Lynnfield men โ Daniel Townsend, Thomas Hadley, and William Flint โ who answered the call and gave their lives for American Independence.
Above the Minuteman is the Town Meeting House, a national landmark where the historic Minutemen assembled before marching to Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775.
The overall shape of the logo is a bell, representing the Liberty Bell and the Town Common Bell. A banner beneath the bell holds 13 stars representing the 13 original colonies.
The year 2026 surrounding the Minuteman marks the 250th Anniversary of American Independence, July 4, 1776.
