Lynnfield is holding its annual First Responders Day Thursday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Common, and the Town is encouraging its community members to turn out to support first responders and remember those lost and the sacrifices made 24 years ago on 9/11.
The program will begin with a welcome address by Town Administrator Rob Dolan followed by an invocation led by Rev. Thomas Bentley of Centre Congregational Church.
The Boy Scouts will lead the Presentation of Colors, and the Girl Scouts will then lead the Pledge of Allegiance. The national anthem will play, followed by the fire department’s bell ceremony and taps.
Police Chief Nick Secatore, Fire Chief Glenn Davis and Select Board Chair Phil Crawford will make remarks, and Rev. Bentley will return for a closing prayer.
