Classic Film Club

Mezzanine

Love black and white movies? Join us to watch great movies and learn more about the history of old Hollywood. Movie snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own favorites!

Virtual Yoga

Noon-1 p.m.

Zoom

This is a 60 minute yoga class with our instructor Michelle Powers.

Register with a valid email at least an hour prior to class start time to receive the link to join the class. You will receive an email with login information a half hour before the class begins.

Book Lovers: Non-fiction Book Group

6:30-7:30 p.m.

Mezzanine

Join us for some great nonfiction book conversation – newcomers are always welcome! We will be meeting in person, on the Mezzanine.

In January we will be reading Demon of Unrest by Eric Larsen.   Pick up your copy of the book at the Library’s Circulation desk.

Registration is not required for this program.

Tea Time

9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Main Library

Come by the library’s reading room for tea, coffee, or cocoa, to read the papers, and meet your neighbors.

We’ll be providing hot water and tea or instant coffee and cocoa for self-service beverages, and the reading materials.  You provide the company.  Come down to the library, and make yourself at home.

Mondays, 9:30 am- 4:30 pm.  Bringing your own reusable cups is encouraged.

 

Crafty Club

2-3 p.m.

Mezzanine

Love knitting, crocheting, or other handicrafts? Join us for a monthly Knitting Club! We’ll be meeting on the Mezzanine to work on our own projects, refreshments and chat. Registration is not required, but recommended.

 

Tuesday, Jan. 27

Terrific Tuesdays with North Suburban Child & Family Resource Network

4-4:45 p.m.

Children’s Room

Early childhood specialists from the North Suburban Family Resource Network lead this playgroup for children ages 18 months and older. Registration with the Family Resource Network is required. You can sign up for any of their programs including this one exclusively through their newsletter, which you can sign up here through their website.

The Last Tuesday Book Club

6-7 p.m.

The Last Tuesday Book Club is the Lynnfield Library’s fiction book group!  In January we are reading Park Avenue by Renee Ahdieh. Come pick up your copy at the circulation desk, we will have regular print and large print copies available.

 

Wednesday, Jan. 28

Story Time

10-10:30 a.m.

Children’s Room

Join us to sing songs and listen to stories! Recommended for children ages 5 and under.

This story time will be held in the Lynnfield Library Children’s Room.

Ages 11-18

 

Coloring Club

6-8 p.m.

Main Library

Coloring has proven to help adults and teens relax and unwind! Join us at the Library on Wednesday evenings anytime between 6-8pm for coloring club.   Coloring pages, coloring bookmarks and colored pencils will be available at the main Circulation Desk. Can’t stay? No problem, grab your bookmark or coloring sheet and take it home.

No registration required.

 

Breaking Grounds: Community Conversation Group

6:30-8 p.m.

Mezzanine

Join us for the monthly meeting of Breaking Grounds, a community conversations group! Each meeting will have a central topic and all community members are invited to share their opinions in civil discourse. This month, we will be talking about diversity, equity, and inclusion. Come and share your knowledge and life experiences! Refreshments will be served.

This event is in partnership with Town Administrator Rob Dolan, A Healthy Lynnfield, and Lynnfield For Love. This event is intended for adults and older teens.
