Serving on the Select Board for the Town of Lynnfield for more than a decade has truly been an honor and a privilege that I take very seriously. My unwavering dedication and commitment to our town and its residents are what inspire me to seek re-election.
During my tenure on the Select Board, I have played a pivotal role in advancing several key initiatives that have greatly benefited Lynnfield. I am proud to have been instrumental in the realization of the following projects:
- Fields Project: This initiative involved the comprehensive renovation of every sports field and playground across Lynnfield, enhancing recreational opportunities for families and youth.
- Market Street: The successful opening of Market Street has provided the town with a vibrant commercial hub, supporting local businesses and creating a welcoming space for residents, bringing much-needed new revenue.
- School Building Projects: I have brought forward and supported major improvements to our school facilities, ensuring our students have access to safe and modern learning environments.
- South Lynnfield Fire Station: The establishment of this facility has strengthened our town’s emergency response capabilities, helping to keep our community safe.
- Town Hall: Renovations to Town Hall have improved public access and enhanced the efficiency of municipal operations.
- Rail Trail: The development of the Rail Trail offers residents new opportunities for outdoor recreation and connectivity throughout Lynnfield.
- Willis Brook: Improvements to Willis Brook have contributed to local conservation efforts and beautified a valued natural resource.
- Town Common Renovation: Revitalizing the Town Common has preserved this central gathering space for community events and celebrations.
- War Memorial: The creation of the War Memorial honors the sacrifices made by Lynnfield’s veterans and serves as a place of reflection for all residents.
- Senior Center: Continuing to support the Senior Center, which has provided essential resources and programming for our older adults.
- Colonial L.I.F.E Housing: This project has expanded affordable housing options for our senior population.
As the Founder and Chairman of A Healthy Lynnfield, I have worked diligently to bring substance abuse awareness, education, and resources to both our students and the broader community. This role has allowed me to address critical health concerns and ensure that Lynnfield remains a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
Leading these transformative changes is a responsibility I approach with utmost seriousness. The process demands thoughtful deliberation, the courage to ask difficult questions, active engagement with citizens to gather their input, and a significant investment of time and energy.
Throughout my tenure in office, I have prioritized fiscal responsibility in the management of the town’s finances. I am proud to have presented twelve balanced budgets, each developed with careful consideration for both current needs and long-term stability. This consistent approach to budgeting has ensured that essential services are maintained, investments in community initiatives continue, and taxpayer dollars are used efficiently. My commitment to sound financial practices reflects my dedication to sustaining Lynnfield’s fiscal health and supporting the well-being of all residents.
Having been a resident of Lynnfield for nearly forty years, I bring a unique and valuable perspective to my service. My long-standing connection to the community ensures my commitment to making decisions that reflect the best interests of all who call Lynnfield home.
