The Pioneers earned a 2-0 shutout over Boston Latin last Friday at Murphy Rink. Goalie Angelo Covino did it all to make sure Lynnfield advanced to the title game. Covino ended the game with 28 saves to power the Pioneers. Lucas Deraps and Nick Kelter were the goalscorers on the day, while Johnny Powers and Jackson McShane each distributed an assist.

Lynnfield carried a one-goal advantage into the third period, but Hanover’s persistent effort proved too much as the Pioneers fell 6–3. Deraps, Brendan Driscoll, and Anthony Calla each found the net for Lynnfield, while Sam Curley added two assists. Michael Marenghi made 38 saves in net.

The Eagles were flying high and offensively, they couldn’t be stopped. Luke Horenstein, Owen Hanson, Brandon Ward, JR Goldstein, Anthony Petruccelli (2), and Chase Brown scored goals for the Prep.
