Notice to Residents: Edwards Avenue (North and South), Coleman Avenue, and Sigmund Street
Director of DPW John Scenna advised residents of the above neighborhoods that their neighborhood is the first in a series of neighborhoods to be worked on, but if weather does not cooperate, work may be halted until the spring. The Town recently awarded the Roadway & Sidewalk construction contract to D&R contractors to complete the work.
Work began on Nov. 17 to complete repairs of utility trenches. If temperatures allow, work will continue in the following weeks, ideally finishing by paving this neighborhood during this calendar year. The Town will provide residents with additional notification.
If temperatures do not improve, the Town will be unfortunately be required to finalize paving in the spring (likely late March or early April). The Town can’t jeopardize the quality of the final paving due to low temperatures.
This is the Town 2025-26 Road Program’s top priority. The Town apologizes for the overall duration of this project but remains steadfastly committed to completing it to the highest quality standard.
The Town thanks residents for their cooperation and understanding. Contact the Department of Public works with any questions or concerns.
