MarketStreet is set to shine this holiday season, as the North Shore’s favorite lifestyle destination transforms into a festive retreat for shopping, dining, and seasonal celebration. From the return of The SBLI Rink and the beloved Holiday Stroll, to twinkling lights, skating beneath the stars, exciting new shops, and can’t-miss community events, MarketStreet is the perfect gathering space to celebrate the season and make lasting memories.
“The holidays are such a magical time at MarketStreet,” General Manager Charlotte Woods said. “Whether guests are here to shop at new retailers, including ALO and beloved local businesses such as The Point and Cosmo Capri, dine at seasonal favorites, or explore a new bite at Union Square Donuts or CAVA, or just take in the festive spirit, there’s truly something for everyone.”
MarketStreet kicks off the season on Friday, Nov. 14, with an opening party at The SBLI Rink, taking place from 5 to 8 p.m. on The Green, which can be registered for online.
Now in its 12th season, the popular outdoor skating rink invites skaters of all levels to enjoy a fun evening on the ice complete with a live DJ, holiday-themed sips and bites, and plenty of seasonal cheer. The SBLI Rink at MarketStreet will be open for skaters to enjoy from Nov. 14 through Feb. 22.
“The SBLI Rink at MarketStreet is such a special place for families and friends to come together and enjoy the outdoors during the colder months,” said Paul Pennelli, senior vice president, Marketing and Direct Sales at SBLI. “As a company that’s been part of this community for more than 115 years, we love seeing people stay active, connect with one another, and embrace the holiday spirit at The SBLI Rink. We’re thrilled to once again partner with MarketStreet and help carry on this local tradition.”
The rink is open Monday through Friday from 3 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is $12 for skaters of all ages. Skating is free for children under 3 years old. Skate rentals cost $6, but guests are welcome to bring their own skates. Members of the MarketStreet Insider app, launching this month, will have access to exclusive, rotating weekly rewards including free skate rentals, custom swag, and more.

In addition to its winter programming, MarketStreet continues to expand its retail mix with several exciting new openings. Recent additions include ALO, the luxury apparel brand for both women and men, and The Point, a locally owned retail lounge offering premium men’s clothing. Just in time for the holidays, MarketStreet also welcomes CAVA, the fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant brand, Union Square Donuts, the beloved donut and coffee shop, and Cosmo Capri, a women’s and children’s clothing and accessories pop-up joining the property for the season. Opening Friday, November 14, is Rowan, the ear-piercing and hypoallergenic jewelry brand.
The Holiday Stroll, which will take place on Dec. 13, is an afternoon filled with festive fun — from holiday shopping and family activities to cozy sips, creative crafts, and a magical tree lighting finale with Santa himself!
- The Insider Pub with Alchemy – A dedicated lounge for members of the MarketStreet Insider app, featuring pours from Guinness, Guinness hot cocoa, festive seating, games, and festive photo moments
- Custom Snowflake Station – Design your own glittering snowflake to hang on the MarketStreet Snow Wall in Market Square
- Meet Santa – Photos and letter writing with the jolly man himself next to Whole Foods
- In-Store Promotions & Entertainment – Throughout the entire property
- Tree Lighting Finale – Close out the celebration with a magical tree lighting ceremony led by Santa, accompanied by a candlelit choir for a heartwarming finish in Market Square
Holiday Stroll participants are also invited to participate in the MarketStreet Passport Program, where guests can collect stickers for completing festive activities at participating businesses throughout the property and be entered into a raffle. MarketStreet Insiders, who have downloaded the MarketStreet Insider app, will receive an exclusive version of the passport, offering additional perks and rewards, along with exclusive access to The Insider Pub with Alchemy.
