Lynnfield Library hosts spice drive for Citizens Inn

October 21, 2025 by For The Weekly News

During the month of November, the Lynnfield Public Library will be holding a spice drive for Citizens Inn. While meeting with Citizens Inn organizers, we learned that families can get great food options from the Citizens Inn food pantry, but are rarely able to find spices! Help families have flavorful, heathy meals this Thanksgiving season by donating shelf-stable, unopened spices. Donations can be dropped off in the bin at the Lynnfield Public Library at 18 Summer St. Please call 781-334-5411 with any questions.

Citizens Inn is located in Peabody and serves Lynnfield families as well. Their mission is to break the patterns of instability that lead to homelessness and hunger for every family and individual served. They work on an individual basis to help families and individuals who are experiencing a housing crisis or food insecurity. They provide meals, pantry items, and help people find housing. Call 978-531-9775 or visit www.citizensinn.org to learn more about their organization and programs. You can also donate directly by visiting citizensinn.org/give-to-citizens-inn.
