Lynnfield High School and the Lynnfield Senior Center are launching a community partnership designed to support senior citizens with technology use. The second Tech Help for Seniors session will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 10-11:00 a.m. in the Lynnfield High School library.
High school students will be on hand to answer questions and assist with a wide range of technology needs — from learning how to use smartphones and apps to navigating websites, adjusting settings, and more. Seniors interested in participating are asked to register by Oct. 28 by emailing jbennett@lynnfieldma.gov.
In addition to the Tech Help sessions, Lynnfield High School senior Lily Williams is offering a series of digital literacy Classes for adults at the Lynnfield Public Library as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project.
The next class, titled “AI Literacy,” will be held Thursday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. Participants will learn what artificial intelligence is, explore its benefits and challenges, and demo generative AI tools. The final class in the series, on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m., will focus on detecting and combating misinformation and disinformation online.
