Lynnfield Troop 48 Scouts are running their annual greenery fundraising sale this month.
Senior Patrol Leader Alan Curley said, “Our Holiday Greenery sale is the Troop’s sole annual fundraiser and raises funds to help offset the costs of Scouting for everyone in the Troop. Our Troop is grateful for Lynnfield residents’ support, and we are happy to bring holiday cheer and beautiful greenery to residents’ homes.”
The Scouts are selling evergreen wreaths, greenery centerpieces, and a reindeer set to decorate a mantel or table.
Greenery products are divided between “local distribution items,” which the Scouts will deliver straight to buyers’ homes, and “direct delivery items,” which can be ordered and shipped anywhere in the U.S.
Local distribution items will be hand delivered by Scouts to the purchasers’ homes. Deliveries are anticipated during the latter part of November.
Among the Troop 48 Scout adventures this year are campout adventures on Winter Island in Salem and at Danvers Fish and Game Club in Middleton; an overnight indoor climbing gym event at MetroRock in Everett; and an overnight stay at the Pat’s Peak ski lodge for skiing and winter activities.
In addition, Troop 48 is deeply committed to service to the Lynnfield community. Scouts give back by volunteering at Lynnfield events, including the Library Books Sale, the Centre Congregational Church Festival of Trees events, local trail work and restoration events, and Eagle Scout projects.
The order deadline is Oct. 30. To view available greenery products, visit: sherwoodfundraiser.com/LynnfieldScoutTroop48.
