Bill Sano returns to the Lynnfield Public Library! Bill Sano is back for his four-part music and lecture series with “I Love a Piano,” which features the lives and careers of some of the most famous pianists of the last three centuries. These will take place Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Meeting House, with a break at 11 a.m. for refreshments.
The full schedule is:
- Wednesday, Nov. 5: Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and how to listen to a concerto intelligently.
- Wednesday, Nov. 12: Remembering Ragtime: 1900! Scott Joplin, Eubie Blake, Jelly Roll Morton, Zez Confrey, and even Irving Berlin!
- Wednesday, Nov. 19: The Romantic 19th Century: Liszt and Chopin. What could be better?
- Wednesday, Nov. 26: The Russians are Coming!!! Sergei Rachmaninoff, Arthur Rubinstein, Vladimir Horowitz (but not Putin!)
