LTTE: VSO remembers Leonard Lilley

October 14, 2025 by Bruce Siegel

To the editor,

Leonard Lilley, a long-time Lynnfield resident and a good friend to many of us, recently passed away. Lenny was a fellow veteran of the United States Navy, having proudly served from 1967-1973 during the Vietnam War. Lenny was a classy person who always had a smile on his face. On behalf of Lynnfield’s Department of Veterans Services, I would like to express my sincere condolences to his wife Carol, as well as the entire Lilley family.

Fair Winds and Following Seas, Lenny; We have the Watch. Permission to come aboard has been granted. Rest in Peace, my friend. You will be missed.

Sincerely,

Bruce Siegel, Veterans Services Officer
