Lynnfield Recreation will be offering adult (18+) beginner pickleball lessons this fall. It’s the fastest-growing sports and very popular for women and men of all ages. Pickleball is a combination of ping pong, tennis, and badminton, played with a paddle and whiffle ball. It’s played on a smaller court than tennis (20’x44’) with a 3-foot-high net. It’s fun and easy to learn.
The five-week, one-hour lessons for beginner training sessions will include how to serve, return serve, dink shots, pickleball rules, how to score the games, safety, and sportsmanship. The lessons will be held on the Lynnfield Middle School tennis courts.
The pickleball instruction will be conducted by Vin Grifoni, PPR (Professional Pickleball Registry) certified instructor. Vin has competed and medaled in several USA Pickleball tournaments and brings a supportive teaching style and positive learning environment.
Lessons are perfect for those who are just starting out in the sport and want to learn the basics. If interested, please contact the Lynnfield Recreation Department at 781-334-9488.
