Alleged Lynnfield murderer’s case impounded

September 8, 2025 by Amanda Lurey

John Kosta, 53, of Middleton, was arraigned July 29 for the murder of Timothy O’Neil of Lynnfield. Kosta returned to court last Wednesday for a probable cause hearing.

Case records are presumed to be open to the public, unless they are impounded or sealed as a matter of law or impounded by a court order.

According to media contact Mike Keefe-Feldman, the case was impounded at Kosta’s arraignment, meaning the court ordered to restrict public access to case documents.
