Lynnfield Public Library will host Tea Time, Summer Story Time, and more this upcoming week.

Lynnfield weekly happenings

July 22, 2025 by Erell Renaudeau

The town is organizing multiple monthly and day-to-day happenings this coming week for residents seeking to busy themselves at summer’s peak.

Virtual Yoga will be held every Thursday of July, from 12-1 p.m. via Zoom, with instructor Michelle Powers. Participants must register at least an hour prior to the class start time, and will then be sent information to login.

This Thursday, July 24, a Perler Bead workshop for participants ages 11-18 will be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m. No registration is required.

The Lynnfield Public Library is organizing a Tea Time on Monday, July 28, from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Held in the reading room, the hosts invite you to drop by for coffee, hot cocoa, and tea, to read the papers and meet your neighbors. Reading materials will be provided.

The Summer Story Time will also be held Monday in the library’s Children’s Room from 10:00-10:30 a.m., recommended for children ages 5 and under. No registration is required.

That same Monday, July 28, Ed the Wizard is holding his Alchemy Laboratory from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Participants ages 7 and up will learn how to perform magic and the real science behind it using items anyone can have at home. Registration for this event is required.

On Tuesday, July 29, from 6:00-7:30 p.m., the North Suburban Child and Family Resource Network is holding Terrific Tuesdays in the Lynnfield Public Library Children’s Room. Early childhood specialists will lead a playgroup for children ages 18 months and older. Registration is required and available on their website.

The Last Tuesday Book Club will also be held July 29 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. This month, the Lynnfield Library’s fiction book club is reading Flying Solo by Linda Holmes. You can pick up a copy at the library’s circulation desk, and registration is not required.

On Wednesday, July 30, Lindsay and her Puppet Pals will perform at MarketStreet. Lindsay’s funny and fast-paced show delights children, as they get to meet several larger-than-life, hand-crafted puppets. This show is recommended for children ages 3-8 and their families. You can register for updates.

Concerts on the Common by the Lynnfield Rotary continue Wednesday night with Soft Touch Band.

On Thursday, July 31, the Community Theater is holding an information session at the library with Shay Wainwright, of the Lynnfield Theater Department, where you can learn how to get involved.
