The Lynnfield Art Guild (LAG) is proud to announce that the two Lynnfield High School 2025 winners of its art-based scholarships are Caitlin Buoniconti and Ella Hayman.
Buoniconti is the recipient of the Karen Rae Simpson Duggan Memorial Award for $1000, which honors a graduating senior interested in fine arts, graphic arts, or computer design who plans to keep art in her life.
“I have taken studio art classes throughout my entire high school career. It is very important to me that I can keep art in my life and in my career because it is what makes me me,” Buoniconti said. Buoniconti plans to continue her passion for art by studying art history and minoring in art as she pursues a major in biochemistry.
Hayman is the recipient of the Marjorie Gershaw $850 Scholarship, which was fostered by Gershaw’s love of and commitment to art and understanding that art is a passport to creativity.
“I am certain art will remain a constant throughout each chapter of my life. Ever since I was little, when I picture my future, I imagine paintbrushes and watercolors, and vibrant colors that add a sense of beauty to my life,” Hayman said. “I hope to find a career that allows me to use my creativity and express myself artistically. I love to bring joy to others through my art and hope to do so in college and beyond.”
The Guild also offers Lynnfield High School students the chance to participate in the Fall and Judged Spring Shows. Membership in the Lynnfield Art Guild, a nonprofit organization, is open to artisans, photographers, and artists of all levels, with student, supporting, and family memberships also available.
