The LET Apple Awards provide an opportunity for the community to publicly recognize Lynnfield Public Schools employees who go above and beyond for students in the district. These individuals are teachers, paraprofessionals, administrative support personnel, mentors, and coaches — but they can also described the way the individuals who recognized them did: “cares deeply about each and every child,” a “safe connection,” “always tries to make sure everyone succeeds,” “an open ear and a smile,” “our successes are his successes,” and so much more. We are lucky to have these individuals in our LPS community — and it was truly a pleasure to read about their outstanding impact.

The Apple Awards tradition was started many years ago by Lynnfield Educational Trust, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed in 1990 by a group of invested LPS parents looking to support the innovative work of educators in the Lynnfield Public Schools. Since that time, the group has continued an honored tradition of twice-annual grantmaking along with various fundraising efforts. The current LET board is pleased to continue the Apple Awards tradition, which also serves as a small fundraiser for our grant-making efforts.

Many Thanks,
