Lynnfield’s track and field teams competed in Sunday’s MSTCA Division 5 Relays with the boys finishing 15th (14 points) and girls 21st (7.48). Eli Mendese won the javelin (145-6) and took second in high jump (6-2).
Daniel Lemieux and Oliver Harth finished in the top 10 of long jump with leaps of 19-4.25, Nick Kelter placed third in triple jump (43-1), and the 4×200 relay team of Dillon Reilly, Jesse Dorman, Brendan Reilly, and Lemieux broke a school record with a sixth-place finish (1:33.10).
On the girls’ side, Abby Lopez placed 10th in javelin (85-0), while Shealyn Moore snagged third in pole vault (8-0).

The Pioneers clinched a spot in the Division 4 state tournament after a three-run win against Amesbury. Freshman Lilly Gately was in the circle and earned the win, allowing two earned runs on seven hits with five strikeouts. Morgan Hubbard led the offense with two hits and two RBI. Angelina O’Hara had two RBI with a single and sacrifice fly.

Lynnfield couldn’t generate the offense it needed in a close loss over the weekend. Gia Gagnon pitched well, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out seven. Hubbard, Kaila George, and Julia Corrente had Lynnfield’s only hits.
