Honor Scholars to be celebrated May 15

May 13, 2025 by For The Weekly News

The North Shore Chamber of Commerce presents its 2025 Honor Scholars Recognition Dinner on Thursday, May 15, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hilton in Danvers.

The North Shore Chamber’s Honor Scholars Recognition Dinner celebrates the top 5% of students in the graduating classes of public and private high schools on the North Shore. This year, almost 350 graduates from more than 30 high schools have been selected for this special recognition.

This longstanding tradition is celebrating its 57th year. It began in 1968 when the honorees were only Beverly High students, because the Chamber served only the city of Beverly. Today, with the growth of the Chamber, the event has grown to encompass the entire North Shore.

Keynote speaker will be Jake Thibeault, a former Milton Academy hockey player who sustained a life-changing injury during a game. Paralyzed from the waist down, Jake’s motto became “no quit,” and he will inspire the audience with his amazing perspective and perseverance.

A second special guest will be Todd Angilly, official singer of the National Anthem for the Boston Bruins, who will perform the Anthem prior to the program.

All Honor Scholars will be presented with certificates and recognized by name on stage.

Students to be honored are listed by school below.

Through the sponsorship of the business community, all Honor Scholars are invited to attend the dinner for free. They will be joined by school officials, family members, and representatives of the business community. EBSCO Information Services is this year’s premier sponsor.

Platinum Sponsors are Wellpoint, Institution for Savings, Beth Israel Lahey Health/Beverly Hospital and Addison Gilbert Hospital, Eastern Bank, North Shore Bank, Windover, and Boston Children’s Hospital – Peabody. Numerous businesses are also supporting the event at the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Sponsor levels.
