Lynnfield’s offense and defense were clicking Monday evening as the Pioneers’ softball team dominated Newburyport in a 19-2 final. Freshman Lilly Gately pitched a no-hitter going into the fifth inning, finishing the game allowing two hits. Gately walked three Clippers, while striking out eight. At the plate, she collected a single and three RBI.

The win was Lynnfield’s fifth win of the season, and the Pioneers looked to continue their momentum Wednesday against Manchester Essex at 4 p.m. Results were too late to print.
