Rotary’s Build A Bed makes kids’ dreams come true

April 29, 2025 by For The Weekly News

Build A Bed is returning to MarketStreet, Lynnfield, on Saturday, May 3.

In 2022 Lynnfield Rotary hosted its first Build A Bed project producing 10 beds for children in Massachusetts. In 2023, Rotary built 22, and last year 108 volunteers built thirty. Rotary is optimistic that 2025 will be the best year yet.

The event will take place in the plaza by Starbucks, Panera and Otto Pizza. Set up begins at 8:30 a.m. with registration at 9:30. Construction commences at 10 a.m. and runs through noon. Once again, Rotary is pleased to announce that the event has been sold out.

If you are a member of the Lynnfield Rotary, or an LHS volunteer from Interact or A Healthy Lynnfield, please arrive at 8:30. This is essential for set up.

If you have sponsored one or more beds, please arrive no later than 9:30 to register and assign your build station.

To our other friends, neighbors, interested parties and fellow Rotarians, you can arrive by 10 as we begin the event.

In case of rain, the event will move to the cafeteria at Lynnfield High School, 275 Essex Street with the same time schedule. Participants will be notified by email on Friday afternoon.

Rotary’s motto is “Service Above Self”. Join us Saturday morning to see that in action.
