Registration is now open for the Lynnfield Recreation Commission’s middle school basketball league. Get ready to lace up your sneakers, hit the courts, and enjoy some fast-paced, high-energy basketball under the summer sky.
The Lynnfield Summer Rec League is the perfect way to stay active, make new friends, and bring out your inner MVP. Whether you’re a seasoned baller or just looking for some friendly competition, this league is for you.
The league runs Mondays and Wednesdays from June 23 through Aug. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at the middle school’s outdoor court. Students in grades 5-8 are eligible. In-person evaluations will be held on June 23 and 25 at 6 p.m. at the middle school. Participants should plan to attend one tryout session.
This is a fun-first league where everyone plays with no tryouts and cuts; it’s just good old-fashioned hoops. Participants will be assigned to teams and compete against their peers in a minimum of eight games throughout the summer. The program is all about teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun.
Rec says there are many reasons to join the league including guaranteed playing time, meeting new friends and building team spirit, staying active, and improving your game in a competitive environment.
So grab your sneakers, bring your A-game, and get ready for fast breaks, buzzer-beaters, and unforgettable summer nights. Space is limited, register today at LynnfieldRec.com. The cost of the program is $150 per participant.
