To the editor:
With Lynnfield schools in trouble, Kristen Elworthy and Jenny Sheehan stepped up and ran for the School Committee. They wanted to be part of the solution to restore our schools to the levels we expect.
They were elected last year to:
- Support teachers and boost morale to stem staff turnover.
- Restore Lynnfield’s high educational standards.
- Ensure best practices in curriculum development.
- Prioritize student achievement at all levels.
They have accomplished this and more. Under the previous administration, many valued staff members left the district. This year, not a single staff member has left … a testament to the efforts made under the leadership of Elworthy and Sheehan.
Experience is Critical
We need to keep the people with proven experience in these positions and not elect someone without it.
- There are 2 seats in this election with three candidates.
- Elworthy and Sheehan have school committee experience as well, acting as chair and vice chair respectively.
- The 3rd candidate has NO School Committee experience.
We believe that replacing “experienced, effective leaders” with an “untested candidate” would jeopardize the progress. Couple that with the budget concerns facing our town, makes experience truly critical.
That’s why we are voting for Kristen Elworthy and Jennifer Sheehan on Tuesday, April 8th. Please join us!!
