Build A Bed is returning to MarketStreet, Lynnfield on Saturday, May 3.
In 2022, Lynnfield Rotary hosted its first Build A Bed project, producing ten beds for children in Massachusetts. In 2023, it built twenty-two beds, and last year, more than 100 volunteers built thirty. They are optimistic that 2025 will be their best yet.
The cost of each bed is $350. Upon completion, a mattress will be added, and the finished product will be delivered to the home of a Massachusetts child. Lumber, hardware, tools, and expert instruction will be provided. People will work in groups of up to four builders. Children are welcome with adult accompaniment.
Individuals, families, and organizations can participate by purchasing one or more beds, allowing your team to attend the event and build the frame. If you prefer, a bed will be constructed by our volunteers in your name. Beds will be allocated based on the order in which payments are received. Lynnfield Rotary urges people to register as soon as possible.
