Atty. Gerry D’Ambrosio is bringing the professionalism of his Boston law practice to Lynnfield residents with a new satellite office that opened this past September on Salem Street, a move that allows easier access to local clients.
D’Ambrosio LLP has been operating out of the financial district since 1998 and has built up a staff of around 50 people including paralegals, lawyers, and support staff that covers the gambit in terms of legal knowledge.
“We do a lot of estate planning, we do a lot of asset protection, elder law, tax advice on the use of trust, and other types of estate planning devices,” D’Ambrosio said. “It’s a one-stop shop, full tool kit approach. The last piece was having an office in the community to really make it convenient
Working with estate plans means many of the practice’s clients are elderly. Having someone with power of attorney who is trustworthy means that assets and livelihoods are protected from those preying on a vulnerable population.
This clientele was another consideration that went into opening the Lynnfield office, as D’Ambrosio can provide support without older residents having to drive a longer distance.
“We have situations where elders will have kids on the other coast, and so they’re not involved in their lives on a day-to-day basis,” he said. “As they get older, they do need that support, and we’re able to offer that.”
An in-house accountant is another feature that D’Ambrosio underscored as demonstrating how his practice provides a full toolkit, allowing clients to get financial expertise in the same place they get their legal help.
It’s all part of a mission to understand what people in the community need and then provide that at a human level. For example, he gives all clients his cellphone number so they can call him at any time.
“We want them to feel comfortable and be able to reach out to us. All of our financial and estate planning clients we have an open door policy with.” D’Ambrosio said. “We expect them to call us down the road with further questions, and that’s why we’re successful.”
