Skate for a Cause: SBLI Partners with Youth Villages for a Special Fundraising Event at The Rink at MarketStreet

Life insurer SBLI, the presenting sponsor of The Rink at MarketStreet in Lynnfield, invites the public to join a special skating event at the rink to benefit Youth Villages, an organization dedicated to helping children and families in foster care live successful, independent lives.

The event with take place on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Part of every skate ticket sold will go directly to Youth Villages’ mission. Youth Villages provides vital support through two programs: LIFESET, which helps young adults aged out of foster care transition to successful adulthood; and INTERCEPT, which strengthens families to prevent or limit the need for foster care.

During the event, flyers will be available in the warming tent with a QR code to scan for a chance to win two tickets to a Boston Celtics game (must be 18+ to enter).

The Rink at MarketStreet presented by SBLI will be open through Feb. 23. Admission pricing is $12 to skate (children under 3 skate free); $6 (plus tax) for skate rentals; and $10 (plus tax) for skate assist rental. MarketStreet is located at 600 Market St., Lynnfield (Exit 61 on I-95).
