Elder Fraud Presentation
Representatives from the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts and the FBI and IRS Boston Division Offices will provide an informational session on the financial exploitation of elders. The goals of this outreach event, part of the U.S. Department of
Justice Elder Initiative, are to enable community members to recognize, stop, report, and help prevent fraud on elders. Information about current and evolving scams, schemes and frauds, and why older adults are disproportionately targeted by fraudsters will be addressed. Practical steps for helping to protect yourself or family and friends from becoming victims of these crimes will be provided. Wednesday Jan. 22 at 12:30 p.m. Sign up with Lisa.
