Turkey Trot & Pie: They’re baaack! We had such fun last year, that those pesky turkeys will be back to fight for first place. Choose your lucky turkey and cheer him on as he races down the turkey track. Join us for pie, fun, and prizes. The event will be held Monday, Nov. 18 at 12:30 p.m. Sign up with Lisa. Lion’s Club: Linda Erwich, 2nd VP Wyoma Lions Club will be the guest speaker on Tuesday Nov. 19 at 10:30 a.m.. She will explain to us some of the new cutting-edge research leading the way in preventing blindness and treating eye diseases. Call Debby at 781-598-1078 to register. The senior center has a donation box in the lobby for all glasses that are not needed anymore.
Are you at Risk for Diabetes?: Karen Cronin, the Lynnfield Public Health Nurse, will present a talk about diabetes and special considerations for older adults on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. This presentation will focus on Type 2 diabetes, prevention and treatment. Sign up with Lisa.
Diabetes Academy: Thursday, Nov. 21 at 12:30 p.m. Our diabetes educator, Jennifer Britton-Colonnese from Lahey Health, will be sharing her insights via Zoom on diabetes, providing essential tips, along with questions.
AARP – Retirement Planning Strategies: Michael Fallica, a volunteer from AARP, will present Retirement Planning Strategies for Today and Tomorrow. Learn tips for determining if you are on track, how much you will spend in retirement, and discuss income, debt, and saving strategies to close the gap. Ask the Nurse: On the first and third Wednesday of each month, Nurse Karen Cronin, from the Lynnfield Health Dept., will visit our center from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. She will offer free blood pressure screenings, and will be available to offer assistance with prescriptions and other health-related questions. Drop in.
