Plenty to do at the library this week

There’s plenty to do at the library this month. Please note that the library will close early at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 due to the Town Meeting at 7 p.m. at the middle school. The following are some of the activities and events offered by the library:

Bill Sano presents: The genius of Irving Berlin and Cole Porter
Thursday, Nov. 7., 10 a.m – noon
Meeting House, 617 Main St.

Join us in the Lynnfield Meeting House to hear accomplished musical educator Bill Sano. This fall, Bill Sano presents: The genius of Irving Berlin and Cole Porter, a lecture series.

Thursday, Nov. 7., 10 a.m

Thursday, Nov. 14., 10 a.m.

Thursday, Nov. 21., 10 a.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 27., 10 a.m.

Coffee and refreshments will be served.  Attendees are encouraged to bring refreshments to share.

CPR and AED Methodology Workshop
Thursday, Nov. 7, 6:30 p.m.—7:30 p.m.
Mezzanine

This workshop is to educate children on basic CPR and AED methodology. We do this by presenting our PowerPoint presentation to give the kids a basic understanding about CPR and AEDs. After that, we give a fun worksheet for the kids to do after the presentation is done. The questions on the worksheet will have fill in the blanks, multiple choice, etc.

This program is geared toward elementary and middle school students.

Registration is required.

Lynnfield Library building tours

In order to answer residents’ questions and show the issues with the building’s electricity, plumbing and roof, Library Director Abby Porter will be giving tours of the library (please meet at the circulation desk) at the following times:

Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 4 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 8 at 10 a.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m.

All ages are welcome.

Thank You Cards for Veterans
Saturday, Nov. 9, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Come help us make thank you cards for veterans in the Children’s Room. We’ll have cards and craft supplies so you can make your own. All ages are welcome.

Saturday, Nov. 9  from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
