Lynnfield will honor its veterans with a special Veterans Day ceremony on Monday, Nov. 11. The event, held on South Common Street, will begin at 11 a.m. and will include the dedication of Lynnfield’s new Veterans Memorial, honoring local veterans for their service and sacrifice.
The hour-long ceremony will feature a formal color guard, vocal performances by Lynnfield students, historical narratives, and remarks from special guests, including retired U.S. Navy Vice Adm. William Merz. All Lynnfield veterans and residents are invited to attend. WWII and Korean War veterans will be provided with seating in the oval.
Parking is available behind the Center Congregational Church, behind the Library, across from the Post Office, and behind Center stores. Parking is also available at Lynnfield Middle School, with buses transporting guests to the event site.
In case of inclement weather, the celebration will be rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m.
