The Lynnfield Select Board will hold a public hearing at 6:25 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, at the Al Merritt Center, 600 Market St. (2nd floor), regarding the following petition:
In accordance with Chapter 166, Section 22 of the General Laws of Massachusetts, Verizon New England and the Reading Municipal Light Department are requesting permission to locate poles, wires, cables, and fixtures— including anchors, guys, and other necessary sustaining and safeguarding fixtures— along and across the following public way:
- Summer Street: Place one (1) jointly owned pole (P.27S) with a sidewalk anchor on the westerly side of Summer Street, approximately 45 feet in a northwesterly direction, crossing Summer Street from existing pole P.27, located on the easterly side of Summer Street.
This petition is necessary to accommodate new construction.
After due notice and hearing as provided by law, the petitioners request joint or identical locations and permission to erect and maintain poles, wires, cables, anchors, guys, and other necessary sustaining and protective fixtures in accordance with the plan filed herewith, marked “VZ N.E. Inc. Plan No. 1A6CN3L,” dated March 27. They also request permission to lay and maintain underground laterals, cables, and wires in the above or intersecting public ways to make necessary connections.
