Town native and Lynnfield High graduate Meghan Breslow, a 5th grade special education teacher at the Shoemaker School in Lynn, moved one step closer to completing the Abbott World Marathon Majors series Sunday at the BMW Berlin Marathon. Breslow completed the race in 3:05.21, shattering her personal record by 12 minutes to earn her fifth Abbott gold star. Breslow plans to complete the series next April at the TCS London Marathon, where she will be running for Brain Research sponsored by the UK. She ran Berlin to raise money for the Herren Project —an organization committed to supporting individuals grappling with substance use disorder. (Meghan Breslow)
