Offerings at the Lynnfield Senior Center

Ask the Nurse: On the first and third Wednesday of each month, Nurse Karen Cronin, from the Lynnfield Health Department, will visit our center from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. She will offer free blood pressure screenings, and will be available to offer assistance with prescriptions and other health-related questions. Also on the first Wednesday of the month, she will be offering free blood sugar screenings. Drop In.

New Class: Funfit: This class aims to help seniors maintain or improve their physical independence, reduce risk of falls and enhance their quality of life. Modifications and the use of a chair are used to accommodate different levels. First class Monday Sept. 9, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Cost $5 per class.

Copycat Recipes: Therapy Gardens will be here giving us a presentation on copycat recipes and how to make them healthier! This is a great presentation for people looking to control salt and sugar intake or for those who want to take charge of their eating. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lynnfield Senior Center. Cost is free. Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. Call the center and sign up with Lisa.

Greater Lynn Senior Services: Margaret Gilligan from GLSS will be here to give a presentation on what GLSS can do for you! GLSS nurses, case managers, social workers and counselors are here to help with older adults. Come find out what they can help you with. Thursday, Sept. 19 at 11 a.m. Call the center and sign up with Lisa.

Movie: Come in from the heat and watch a good movie. Movies are shown twice a month. Our next feature will be Stillwater on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 12:15 p.m. Call the center and sign up with Lisa.
