A Healthy Lynnfield, an active community partnership working hard to prevent substance misuse and to ensure those impacted have the help they need, and the Lynnfield Police Department are partnering to celebrate National Night Out. This community-building campaign promotes strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live and work.
On Aug. 6, A Healthy Lynnfield and the Lynnfield Police Department invite you to join them at Lynnfield Middle School for the town’s second annual National Night Out. The evening will start at 6:30 p.m. with a basketball game featuring the Lynnfield Police Department vs. some of our favorite teachers and coaches and members of the Lynnfield High School basketball team. Attendees will also enjoy a cookout featuring burgers and sausages sponsored by Bianco, hot dogs sponsored by Kayem, and ice cream sponsored by Hixon Bevilacqua Home Realty.
On-site activities will also include face painting, K9 demo, and touch a truck. A DJ sponsored by Fisher College will keep the crowd entertained.
A showing of the movie “Sandlot” will play after sunset. All activities are free for Lynnfield residents.
“National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement,” A Healthy Lynnfield Program Director Peg Sallade said. “When law enforcement and the community work closely together, some amazing things can happen.”
“We are excited to partner with A Healthy Lynnfield for Lynnfield’s second annual National Night Out,” Lynnfield Police Chief Nick Secatore said. “Between the basketball game, cookout, and movie, there is something for every community member to enjoy and we hope to see many residents there.”
