Find your session
Beginners: This lesson is perfect for players who have no real experience playing pickleball. An introduction, participants will learn the game, how to hit the ball, the rules, and to keep short rallies going. Beginner sessions will be held from 5-6 p.m. on Thursdays at Lakeshore Park.
Advanced beginners: This is for the player who has taken intro or beginner classes and has at least one year of pickleball experience, including knowing the rules and scoring. Sessions will be offered from 6-7 p.m. Thursdays at Lakeshore Park.
Intermediate players: You are able to keep quite a few balls going with your forehand, make most easier volleys, and are starting to make more backhands, but you’re looking to develop your stroke. Touch up on your form while putting your skills to the test against other intermediate players.
Skills and Drills – development for adults: Practice makes perfect! Have fun fine-tuning your service and return, backhand and forehand drives, overhead smashes, footwork, offensive lobs, defensive lobs, dinking (technique/placement), volleys (blocking/punch), third, fifth, seventh shot strategies, and working with a partner.
Participants should bring their own rackets. Instructors will have a limited number of loaner rackets available if needed. Court sneakers or sneakers with minimal tread are recommended. Participants should also bring their own water bottles. Hats and sunglasses are recommended.
