Select Board Chair Dick Dalton donated 200 flags outside the Meeting House for the Fourth of July.
“July 4 is just more than barbecues,” Dalton said. “It’s a very important day in our history.”
Dalton said the Town Commons has made significant improvements over the years.
“I just thought that it would help to help people remember what July 4 is all about,” Dalton said. “It’s important to me individually.”
He said the Department of Public Works was responsible for planting the flags.
“I was very happy with it… Hats off to them for planting all of those,” Dalton said. “We should celebrate the birth of our nation. We’ll have the red, white, and blue lights on for the July 4 holiday.”
