What’s going on at the Senior Center?

A lot is going on at the Lynnfield Senior Center.  Call the center for more information on these programs and many more. Stop in one day and see all that we offer. 781-598-1078  

Ask the Nurse: On the first and third Wednesday of each month, Nurse Karen Cronin, from the Lynnfield Health Dept., will visit our center from 9:30 to10:30. She will offer free blood pressure screenings, and will be available to offer assistance with prescriptions and other health-related questions. Also on the first Wednesday of the month she will be offering free blood sugar screenings. Drop In.

Dizziness: Dizziness and visual changes are common in older adults, but often poorly understood and undertreated. Join Dr. Katie Wadland, PT, DPT, board-certified geriatric clinical specialist, for a deep dive into how your ears, your eyes and everything in between all work together to keep you seeing straight, standing up and stable as you age.  Wednesday, June 12 at 12 p.m. This is a free event. Call the center and sign up with Lisa.

A Bingo-Jeopardy Mashup!:  Senior University is back with a new fun game! They have compiled a list of some of your favorite regional foods, brands, and companies from yester-year to today. Join us as we present this Jeopardy-style game and put your knowledge to the test! Thursday June 20 at 1 p.m. This is a free event, sponsored by the Friends of the Lynnfield Center. Call the center and sign up with Lisa.

What’s Cooking with Cris!: Just in time for summer! Come learn how to make three simple yet healthy smoothies to enjoy all summer long! Tuesday June 11 at 12 p.m.. Call the center and sign up with Cris. Cost: $3.00.

Doug Meehan: News anchor from Channel 5 morning news will be stopping by the Lynnfield Senior Center on Thursday June 13, 2024 at 1 p.m.  Doug will give us a presentation of his life and career here in New England!  We will have a chat and be able to ask him questions.  Call the center and sign up with Lisa.
