What’s going on at the Senior Center?

A lot is going on at the Lynnfield Senior Center. Call the center at 781-598-1078 for more information on these programs and many more. Stop in one day and see all that we offer.

Ask the Nurse: On the first and third Wednesday of each month, Lynnfield Health Department. Nurse Karen Cronin will visit our center from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. She will offer free blood pressure screenings, and will be available to offer assistance with prescriptions and other health-related questions. On the first Wednesday of June she will also be offering free blood sugar screenings. Drop In.

There is a new summer class at the Senior Center! FUNFIT Class is tailored to meet the needs of older adults, focusing on improving overall functional movement. The class incorporates a variety of exercises to improve cardiovascular endurance, strength, balance, and coordination. Sign up for the month on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Classes are $5 per class. Don’t miss out on this new exciting class!

AARP The Six Pillars of Brain Health: Please join Donna Qualters from AARP. In this interactive session, you will learn about the six pillars of a brain-healthy lifestyle, share your brain boosting activities, and be inspired by others. A lifestyle that supports the brain health can make a difference to your well-being throughout your life. The session is on Tuesday, June 4 at 1 p.m. Call the center and sign up with Lisa.

Doug Meehan: News anchor from the Channel 5 morning news program will be stopping by the Lynnfield Senior Center on Thursday, June 13 at 1 p.m. Doug will give us a presentation of his life and career here in New England! We will have a chat and be able to ask him questions. Call the center and sign up with Lisa.
