DANVERS — Northeast Arc, a nonprofit organization that helps children and adults with disabilities or autism become full participants in the community, will host its signature fundraising event, An Evening of Changing Lives, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the South Lawn at Encore Boston Harbor.
The event features an inclusive fashion show where individuals supported by Northeast Arc are partnered with local celebrities and business executives to highlight their abilities.
“I have had people who attend many charity events tell me that this is the one they look forward to every year,” Northeast Arc President and CEO Jo Ann Simons said. “The people that walk in the fashion show, alongside well-known business executives and local celebrities, showcase the Northeast Arc’s mission. From young children who have received our Early Intervention Services, to adults who have lived in one of our residential homes for decades, they demonstrate that people with disabilities can live meaningful, inclusive lives if given opportunities and the proper supports.”
During the event, Northeast Arc will honor Darcy Immerman, Senior Vice President at NORESCO, with the Changing Lives Award in recognition of her longtime support of Northeast Arc. Kim Driscoll, Lieutenant Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, will present Immerman with the Changing Lives Award.
An Evening of Changing Lives will be hosted by Kim Carrigan, longtime Northeast Arc advocate and host of the Carrigan & Company podcast.
