Lynnfield Rotary’s Build A Bed will return to MarketStreet in May

April 19, 2024 by For The Weekly News

Build A Bed is returning to MarketStreet in Lynnfield on Saturday, May 11, at 9 a.m.!

In 2022, Lynnfield Rotary hosted its first Build A Bed project producing 10 beds for children in Massachusetts. Last year, 91 volunteers built 22 beds, exceeding our goal. We are optimistic for 2024, with a target to surpass last year.

Lynn-based “A Bed For Every Child” will provide lumber, hardware, tools, and expert instruction to construct the bed frames. People will work in groups of up to four builders.

The beds cost $350 each. Upon completion, a mattress will be added, and the finished product will be delivered to the child’s home.

Individuals, families, and organizations can participate as follows:
One or more beds can be purchased for $350 each. This allows your team to attend the event and build the frames. If you prefer, your donation will allow a bed to be constructed by our volunteers in your name.

All other donations will be applied toward additional beds.

Beds will be allocated based on the order in which payments are received. To sponsor a bed or donate to this project, checks must be made payable to:

Lynnfield Rotary Charitable Fund, Inc.
This is a 501(c)3 foundation, [EIN 88-3347265]

Checks should be mailed to:

Lynnfield Rotary – Build A Bed
P.O. Box 216
Lynnfield, MA 01940

Please include your mobile phone number and email so we can contact you in case bad
weather forces a location change.

We encourage you to include your children and make it a meaningful family event.

Please share this information with friends, family, and business associates.
