Cheryl Begin has been promoted to Vice President of Membership for the region's largest business organization. (North Shore Chamber of Commerce)

Begin named VP of Membership for North Shore Chamber

April 19, 2024 by For The Weekly News

BEVERLY — Karen Andreas, president and CEO of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce, is pleased to announce that Cheryl Begin has been promoted to vice president of membership for the region’s largest business organization.

“Cheryl is an invaluable member of the Chamber team,” Andreas said. “She is incredibly dedicated to our members and her co-workers, and works tirelessly to ensure the Chamber fulfills its mission of advocating, educating, and collaborating on behalf of the business community.”

Begin joined the Chamber three years ago after a long career at the North of Boston Media Group, where she worked as an advertising director for the Eagle-Tribune, Salem News, Gloucester Daily Times, and Newburyport Daily News. Previously, she worked in sales at the Boston Herald.

Begin has an extensive knowledge of the North Shore and the local business community, having lived in Peabody and Salem for decades. Begin now lives in Haverhill.

In her VP role, she will oversee all membership services at the Chamber, including engagement, development, and sponsorship opportunities.

The North Shore Chamber is the hub of the North Shore business community. Its mission is three-fold: to advocate on behalf of businesses and their interests; to educate through topical seminars and insightful programming; and to collaborate by connecting businesses, organizations, and people through networking opportunities and events focused on the collective success of the membership and advancement of the region’s overall economy.
